Sweet Word Flora

Hello, art lovers! My name is Anureet and I'm the artist behind Sweet Word Flora a space where floral beauty meets the written word.

Believe it or not, I've been a "secret artist" most of my life. As a kid, I couldn't stop drawing! Dresses, hairstyles, flowers... everything got the creative treatment. In fact, every card I made my mum for over 30 years for Mother's Day, were adorned with flowers and swirls. Life took me on a different path, though, and my art became buried under a pile of "adult responsibilities" – accountant by day, artist by... well, there wasn't really a dedicated "by" time.

What truly sets my art apart is the way it takes ordinary objects and transforms them with intricate patterns. Whether it's a single word or a detailed floral illustration, my audience loves discovering the hidden details and appreciating the effort poured into each piece.

Motivational words hold a special place in my work. The meaning resonates with viewers, creating a personal connection and sometimes even an emotional response. Ultimately, my art appeals to those who, like myself, find beauty in the little things. It's a visual expression of my own love for intricate design.

While I dabbled in various art forms during the pandemic (website design, logos, you name it!), I recently realized the importance of focus. So, I've gone back to my roots – the very place where it all began: drawing florals, calligraphy, and lettering. It's time to let Sweet Word Flora truly blossom!

Longevity is key. That's why I use only high-quality archival inks and papers, ensuring my art will stand the test of time (with proper care, of course!). My pen collection is a source of constant joy – from fountain pens to fine liners, they all play a role in creating the intricate details you see in my work. For my modern calligraphy pieces, I rely on pointed pens and inks.

Being environmentally conscious is another passion. For my prints, I collaborate with a local printing studio that prioritizes sustainable practices. To further minimize waste and gain artistic control, I've invested in my own printer, allowing me to print on demand.

Practice makes perfect, and in my case, it took a lot of practice to refine my floral patterns. These intricate designs require patience, a quality I had to cultivate! Ironically, it's become a surprising benefit for my overall well-being. Losing myself in the details is a form of mindfulness, a welcome escape from the daily hustle.

I'm thrilled to be part of the Kraft Space artisan community, and I can't wait to bring more beauty into your homes through Sweet Word Flora.
